Major Centres of Power attract and so when a major centre of global power changes, so lesser centres change with it.
These centres are such things as major International Bodies and the HQ's of Multinational Corporations.
It is therefore something I have been watching for and which now appears to be starting, with the US no longer being seen as the natural home for such things.

Others have been making similar noises and so here is a thread to monitor these events as they occour.

Maestro,
We Chinese have a special term for what Mr. Steve Wynn is into in China and that term is better known as [
For the Chinese government however, knowing that the Chinese animal comes gifted with an inherent habit -- chance gaming that is -- the gaming centers that Mr. Steve Wynn and Stanley Ho are putting up in Macau should be [classified tourist destinations only] and that [it must not be accessible to the locals or to the citizens of China or of HK] because the habit is very very destructive to both communities hence needs to be classified as none-awful trade.
I think that's how the Koreans are doing it and I think the Koreans are making damn good sense if you ask me. If otherwise, then these gaming centers, in my opinion, are essentially mass assembly plants for the production of a product to fill Asia's vast comfort industry and -- a catalyst for the breaking up of what are percievably fine and beautiful young Chinese families.
God! If only people know how many percievably benign, fine, and youthful looking young Chinese females are into the comfort field of specialty regardless if reluctantly or by choice because they loan-sharked to feed their gaming-habits and their natural God given asset is the only means for them to get out of their [outstanding loan predicament], you'd be feeling the pain that member of their families or their loves ones does as well...

Just for the funs of it.

Last year, HSBC moved its CEO who was always based in London to HK. HSBC's world headquarters are in Canary Wharf, London, but this move of the CEO's office to HK is a de facto move of the HQ silently to HK. I suppose HSBC returning home. Another jewel in the crown.
Here is the news report of Michael Geoghegan, the HSBC CEO moving into his new office. Notice all the press surrounding him, clearly a big event.

Britain's financial regulator shares investors' worries about the Pru's giant Asian deal
Apparently UK blocked Prudential's take over of AIA on fear that they are going to move their Headquarter to HongKong after the take over
Look like gravity is clearly shifting to the East.
