Happy new year everyone! The last year... and the last decade had been indeed spectacular for China. So much have happened in such a short time spam. Let us now take a moment to reflect on all of the good time and bad:
The Beijing Olympic - what a wonderful time, much more spectacular than even I could have expected! Great job China!
The Szechuan Earthquake - truly a sad turn of event, it was especially hard for me because I am originally from Chongqing. The support and donation by ordinary Chinese in a time of need have truly moved my heart. China will rise again!
The 2008 economic downturn - the government really managed this crisis well, not only have China maintained a 8% growth rate in 2009, it showed the world that it's economy is on track!
There are many other memorable moments... add your own in the reply!
I for one, look forward to the new year and the new decade to come. I know there will be equal-ably memorable turn of events and I can't wait. 2010 Shanghai world Expo, possible reunification of Taiwan, an ever expanding economy, military, and influence!
