If there was an option to show all new posts or all thread with new posts on them. This way, I wouldn't need to hunt down which one need replying.

Well actually there is.

Unlike another popular Forum software package, ours does not have the facility to display a selection of the recent posts on the main index. What we have is actually better!! but you do need to log in.

Once you log in, you will see a number of options on the menu bar just below the Forum Logo. Second in from the left is the "View New Posts" option, which will display all the threads which have had activity unread since the last time you logged in.

I always use it for the reason you state.
